Can the iPod nano Revolutionize Radio?

On Wednesday, Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced the newest version of the iPod nano. I currently have an iPod touch and am not really interested in the nano, but what caught my attention wasn’t the built-in video camera, voice recorder or built-in speaker.

It wasn’t the “rock & run” feature which can serve as your running coach. (Seriously!) The nano tells you your time, distance, pace, and calories burned. It gives you feedback at the halfway point and also shows the details of your workout on the screen. You can even use it with your machinery at the gym.

What got me excited and has me contemplating selling my iPod touch was the FM radio tuner, accented with Live Pause, which allows you to pause and store up to 15 min of live radio. Finally (!!!)

Here’s one for all my iphoners. You CAN send your photos in their ORIGINAL size, not the resized versions the iphone automatically creates. Check out Adam Pash’s article on Lifehacker.com to learn how. Oh… and if you’re really all about the iphone, you might wanna check this kid out, he wrote a book called How to Do Everything with Your iPhone.

I personally don’t use the iphone, but I love new tricks and shortcuts and things. So yep, me likey!

1and1 does not equal 2. In fact, 1and1=FAIL!

I think it’s time to upgrade. I’ve been hosting our domain with 1and1.com for years now, maybe 6 or so. In fact, I was one of their “charter members” which means I was one of the first clients to sign up when they expanded to the US. And now I am running into all kinds of issues. They offer all of these “freebies” but they’re so limited it’s almost not worth it. I think I’m gonna have to upgrade and get ready to start paying for the services I really want. What’s the saying, all good things come to an end… yep, they sure do.

Tweet Tweet

Friday, July 24th, 2009

It took me a minute to get “into” Twitter. I had an account for months before I started using it. I was told that if I downloaded an app to my BlackBerry (I chose Uber Twitter), I would use it all the time. That didn’t happen. I deleted the app from my BB but still use Twitter from the web. But now…. @probedms just showed me a wonderful extension for Firefox called Twitterbar and I think I’m in love.

Why you ask? Well, you can post your updates right from your FF address bar. How f*cking cool is that? You can even tweet the pages you are currently viewing w/the click of one button. Me Likey!

Microsoft Office 2010… iWork may not work…

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

So I learned that Microsoft just released Office 2010. I have to admit, I am a Mac Addict. I tried so hard to get a Mac at work (to no avail - I hate small minded people. LOL!!!), especially when I got the iWork program at home. But, no worries, I have Macs all throughout my home, so I get my fix. I’ve been using iWork (Keynote, Pages, and Numbers) alot in the crib, but I found it difficult to share documents because many people don’t have the program. But alas, I think I’ve found a better solution (say it ain’t so?!) Wanna see it in action?   (more…)
