Microsoft Office 2010… iWork may not work…

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

So I learned that Microsoft just released Office 2010. I have to admit, I am a Mac Addict. I tried so hard to get a Mac at work (to no avail - I hate small minded people. LOL!!!), especially when I got the iWork program at home. But, no worries, I have Macs all throughout my home, so I get my fix. I’ve been using iWork (Keynote, Pages, and Numbers) alot in the crib, but I found it difficult to share documents because many people don’t have the program. But alas, I think I’ve found a better solution (say it ain’t so?!) Wanna see it in action?   (more…)

Yeah, I said it. We taking over. I have been working with OHSOKOOL on Sugatreats Radio since ‘03. It feels like just yesterday I put the headphones on and spoke into the mic (doing my best Angie Martinez impersonation.) It took me a minute to “find my voice” but once I did… yo… I fell in love and couldn’t stop talking.

Anyway… OHSOKOOL and I are taking full advantage of all media (old and new) this go ’round. Tune in every Monday, between 8pm-12 am on 90.3 fm or streaming live at sugatreats.com OR if Mondays are no good, catch the archives on YouTube. Oh yeah… did I mention we taking over?

For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be required. This scripture has never meant more to me than it does now. It seems like the past few weeks have been crazy. I mean CRAZY. Like, so crazy that I thought I was going CRAZY. (Is this too Lauryn Hill for ya?) But, I think you understand… Mercury was in retrograde or something. I found myself asking God over and over, “seriously? how much more??” But each time I asked, I would recall this scripture. My life is full and blessed. Even through all the craziness, I have an amazing family (husband, children, mother, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews), friends (old and new), and mentors. When I finally got around to stop “woe is me-ing,” I remembered how much I have been given. I guess I have much to do!

Not feeling the vibe?

vibe cover dreammilian

I know I’m a few days late on this one, but all for good reason. VIBE Magazine has finally shut its doors. I say finally because I feel like VIBE was on its last leg for a minute now. I mean, yeah I know, they were one of the most prominent mags that focused on urban culture, but I feel like VIBE lost its identity a few years back and could not seem to ever find itself again. Anyway, I guess the answer to my question is “no, they were not feeling the vibe.” Who’s they… well that would be
