Radio host Wendy Williams is leaving radio for tv. *Go, Wendy* I can’t front, I’m proud of her. I respect her grind. As a native-New Yorker who listened to Wendy on Kiss, Hot 97 and BLS, I know she worked to be where she’s at. I didn’t always like her to be honest. I used to think she just gossiped all day but really, Ms. Williams was just ahead of the curve.
She said (and did) in light what most people said (and did) in the dark. She partied, indulged and talked about it all. She engaged us in conversation on-air that we would normally have over dinner with our girlfriends or in the salon. And yes, some of that dialogue included celebrity fluff. Can’t lie, I’ve always been into celebrity crap. Since way back… when I was getting Right On!, Tiger Beat, Black Beat, etc. Then MTV and E! … yeah, I was into it, as were a lot others. Wendy had access to a world we were all interested in. Wendy made a way for Perez Hilton (I know he’s on the shit list now, but this is all very new).
Anyway… she’s a working mom, wife, entrepreneur, author, radio & television host… kudos Wendy and all the best!
