I’m feeling pretty ill and couldn’t go to the radio show tonight. Bummer. For one, I hate being sick. For two, I really wanted to go to the station. I get a rush from being on-air, but I feel so bad, I just couldn’t make it out. Anyway, I decided to watch a show on My9 called Magic’s Secrets Revealed. Probe was tight because he was learning all the tricks and I was getting tight because of all the booty shots Probe kept commenting on. I dunno know if I’ll be DVRn’ this show ;).
I can’t front, I’m actually looking forward to the debut of girl-group Shine, featuring none other than Mrs. Beyoncé Knowles Carter (is she a Carter?) Yep, Lady B’s first appearance on a television’s program and it’s on Nick Jr.’s Wow Wow Wubbzy. Wonder why she didn’t do anything for her father’s children hip hop project?? Anyway, Beyoncé will join the Wubb Girlz Monday, April 27th through Thursday, April 30th at 10 am ET/PT, spreading messages of individuality and friendship. Me likey.Click here for details.
If you are juuust about over the Single Ladies song, video, contests, etc. I mean, anyone who knows me knows I love my girl B… but uhhhh can we please keep it movin’. I’m not even gonna post the video. You can Youtube it, but Trident gathered 100 single ladies to perform at the Picadilly Circus in London. Apparently they stopped traffic. Yawn. Neeeext.

Probe randomly threw on a album cut off Youngest in Charge. Kinda a lil challenge, but I was game. That’s how we do
Since it was Special Ed, I was feeling kinda confident. I guessed it, Hoedown. Probably not too challenging if you listened to that album back in the day. Anyway… Listening back, I can’t say that I love the tracks or mix too tough, but I still think he was dope. I said, “kinda reminds me of a pre-Em.” Probe agrees. Says Special Ed was just loose with it. I agree. Ahhh. I love those convos with Probe. We were definitely destined to cross musical paths.
Have you been watching Lil Kim on Dancing With the Stars? This happens to be my favorite performance so far… she and her partner Derek doing the Argentinan Tango. Peep the long lines on little miss petite.
I usually don’t watch this show - which is odd because I tend to watch all of the talent reality shows. America’s Best Dance Crew, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance… but back to Kim. Since her reign as the Queen Bee of hip hop, she’s been involved in all kinds of drama:
Most who know me, know that I am a golf fan and an even bigger Tiger Woods fan. I mean, I will watch golf for hours on end… ESPECIALLY when Tiger is playing. But… I also love Vijay Singh too. He’s pretty great. I think he sometimes gets overshadowed by Tiger in play, but here’s a great clip of Vijay skipping his ball over the water for a hole in one. Very cool shot to have under your belt.
I know times are hard. I get it. But killing your family because of debt is so not the answer to your problems. No one has confirmed that there has been an increase in murder/suicide cases since we’ve entered into a recession, but it seems like every week I hear of another incident. Maybe it’s just reported more. In any event, here’s the latest family murder/suicide in Maryland.
I know I am a tad late… I KNOW this because the dance craze called “daggering” has already been banned by Jamaican government. Apparently, dancers simulate extremely forceful sexual acts but Jamaican doctors have been reporting an increase in penis injuries. Something to the effect of “loud popping noises, followed by excruciating pain, swelling and sometimes blood, broken bones.“ I mean… wtf? You’re not even “doing it” and you’re risking doing it ever again??!! For more on daggering and responses from Jamaican artists, check my boy Rob’s blog, Boomshots for the skinny.
I remember going to the Auto show back when I was a youngin’. My mom took me and my cousin Sean and I still remember getting told, “no more, you’ve already sat inside one car!” I also remember feeling like, daaayum (maybe it was daaaaaag, since I was only 10 or so), how you gonna bring me here with all these cars and I can only get in 1??? We all learned from Lays right? Cars are like a good chip, you can’t just stop at 1!!! Anyway… I took my children to the car show for the first time today and boy am I nothing like my mom…
